    Our children

    By marsgyrl

Our children are not just following in our footsteps…they are literally FALLING in our footsteps! Tumbling over our mistakes, diving into our inadequacies and crashing into our roadblocks!

And we’re just sitting in the passenger seat…oblivious to the upcoming terrain. Blissfully ignorant of our ignorance.

    Until BAM!!!!!!!!!

The pothole of life jars us back into reality, just as our frightened and shell-shocked child looks into our eyes and says, “Sorry.”

But we know we are really the ones that should be apologizing! Because we knew about the pothole…we just got so distracted trying to avoid our own…we forgot to warn them of the ones they might encounter!
