Pompano Beach Arts Presents The Gazebo Concert Series Live Outdoor Music Events for the Community

Pompano Beach Arts is proud to launch a new limited concert series at the Gazebo located in Palm Aire. These free music events will feature acclaimed musicians, each with an outstanding and diverse repertoire, including the Gold Coast Jazz Society, Alex Dean, and Nikki Kidd. The public is welcome to enjoy these concerts, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers. While the concerts are free, registration is requested at  www.pompanobeacharts.org/events/gazebo-concert-series.

“We are excited to continue our immersion of the arts throughout the City,” said Ty Tabing, Cultural Affairs Director. “Our first Gazebo concert is part of our Prelude to Jazz Fest, a series of musical events to engage the community and increase awareness about the world-class music festival we will be staging on the beach in January. Whether we are hosting legends like Branford Marsalis at Jazz Fest or beloved South Florida musicians at the Gazebo, our mission is to provide an inspiring cultural connection for all of our patrons.”

Gold Coast Jazz Society | January 6, 2023 | 6:30 PM

Gold Coast Jazz Society will present “The Varied Palette of Jazz,” a 90-minute program including an array of jazz selections showcasing the diverse colors and moods of the genre featuring vocals by award-winning singer Dana Paul. A featured singer with South Florida’s most extraordinary big band, the Peter Graves’ Atlantean Driftwood Band, he has performed with luminaries including Chick Correa, Chuck Mangione, Toots Thielemans, Ira Sullivan, Bob James, Bobby Caldwell, the Yellow Jackets as well as Tom Scott.   This performance is made possible with support from the Broward Cultural Division.

Alex Dean | February 17, 2023 | 6:30 PM

Saxophonist Alex Dean, whose multifaceted musical tastes include smooth jazz, big band, Motown, soul, disco, pop, reggae and country, is considered one of South Florida’s top “One-Man-Band” performers. This 90-minute outdoor concert promises to be a fun-filled evening of singing and dancing along.

Nikki Kidd | March 16, 2023 | 6:30 PM

In our final concert of the Gazebo Concert Series, music lovers will be treated to the energy and vocal stylings of Nikki Kidd and the Nikki Kidd Band. This powerhouse vocalist will treat you to a full range of musical genres, including covers and originals. She was voted “Best Jazz Act” by Miami New Times and has worked with acclaimed artists such as Gloria Estefan, Michael Bublé, and KC and the Sunshine Band. Nikki has also performed with the Florida Grand Opera in their production of Aida at the Arsht Center. Additionally, she sang background vocals for Cory Henry and the Nu Deco Orchestra at The Lighthouse in Miami, and recently for Thelma Houston and Mary Wilson in the Miami Design District Performance Series, produced by Emelio Estefan. Kidd is also an established studio recording artist who appeared on the release “One World, One Prayer” by The Wailers and “Really Real” by Prince Royce.

Please note: Please park at the Herb Skolnick Center 800 S.W. 36th Ave., Pompano Beach, FL 33069, you will be able to walk to the Gazebo from there.
