The Pompano Beach Cultural Center is proud to announce comedy TV star Carl Payne as host of the next Pompano Stand-up Live! on Saturday, November 2 at 8 p.m. Joining the former Martin star will be an outstanding lineup of comedians including the show’s opener Wanda Smith, fast-rising star Brandon Smiley and headliner Tony Tone. The evening will also feature entertainment by DJ Lil Bear along with a cash bar and concessions. This show may not be appropriate for patrons under 18. Tickets are $30 presale, $40 GA and $100 for VIP, available at www.ccpompano.org.

“Our first Pompano Stand-up Live sold-out!” said Phyllis Korab, Cultural Affairs Director. “So, get your tickets early for our next night of big laughs! Watching these performers on TV is terrific, but nothing compares to experiencing them in person.”

The host of Pompano Stand-up Live!, Carl Payne grew up on TV as “Cockroach” on The Cosby Show and gained acclaim as “Cole” on the classic Fox sitcom, Martin. Still acting in television and film, Carl is now on a national comedy tour.

Headliner Tony Tone is known as the man of many voices. Tony has entertained audiences all over the world and has performed on Comic View, Def Comedy Jam, Laffapalooza and a host of other comedy productions.

Miami native Wanda Smith has been doing comedy for over 20 years. Known for her catch phrase “Gimme $20,” she has performed on all entertainment formats and programs including Def Jam and Comic View. She has also been featured in several Tyler Perry films.

Brandon Smiley, the son of legendary comedian Rickey Smiley, proves “funny” is in his DNA. Beginning his career in stand-up at the age of 7, Brandon has worked hard to carve out his own place in the industry. Having recently shot a pilot with comedian Roy Woods, Jr., for Comedy Central, Brandon is turning his focus back to stand up.

VIP Ticket: $100 per person.  A very limited number of these tickets are available. Ticket holders will receive reserved preferred seating, one drink ticket, Celebrity Mixer and swag bag.

General Admission: $30 presale, $40 GA, plus a two-drink minimum.

The Pompano Beach Cultural Center is located at 50 West Atlantic Blvd. Pompano Beach, Fla. 33060.
