Charlotte, N.C. – Variety Entertainment, producer of the official Funk Fest Tour headed to Miami for the first show of the year at Miramar Regional Park. With an exciting line up featuring the best in R&B and Hip Hop, Funk Fest is ready to kick off the New Year in the hottest city in South Florida but in big way.  A special part of the Miami festival will be to honor several community and civic leaders who have demonstrated their commitment to making Miami a better place to live and thrive.  Funk Fest is proud to honor the following individuals for their tireless service to the Greater Miami community:

During  2015,  Funk Fest has demonstrated its commitment to the local communities it tours in by awarding over $50,000 in college scholarships to deserving  students through a partnership with the non-profit organization, Lifting As We Climb. Variety Entertainment is excited to provide two deserving students from Miami with a scholarship of $2500.00 each on New Year’s Day.
