On January 3rd, Iran, and Muslims from every corner of the world will observe a somber second anniversary of the assassination of General Qassim Soleimani (GQS).

So, I happen to share a birthday with the most horrific crime ever witness by the government of the USA in the assassination of Al Quds Force commander Qassim Soleimani.

Birthday is a fantastic day—but do you know what? I will remember, honor, and make it a day for the martyrs, resistance movement, and all who have been killed by the police brutality. Yes, that includes supporting Black Lives Matter (BLM).

For me, it’s a point of pride to share a birthday on the martyrdom of a brave, determined and courageous commander. GQS assassination was a war crime because he was a senior official of the Islamic Republic of Iran. What would USA have done if Iran assassinate General Mark A. Milley? It would have been an act of war.

Trump should face prosecution on criminal negligence on the death of 800,000 Americans due to corvid, assassination of GQS, and Jan 6th insurrection.

Justice will prevail as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “We shall overcome because the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

Millions of Iranian pause to remember General Qassim Soleimani:

Millions of Iranians will march towards two major roundabouts in the center of Tehran known as Inkalab (Revolution) and Azadi (Liberation) Squares on Jan 3rd to mark the second anniversary.

These two roundabouts have played a significant role in the political history of Iran. Azadi and Inkelab Square are two focal points which have had an important role in 1979 Islamic revolution putting end to the Pahlavi Dynasty installed in 1953 by CIA.

Jan 17th is Dr. Martin Luther’s king’s day. There are numerous powerful speeches such as “I have Dream” to “I’ve been to Mountaintop” to” Beyond Vietnam.”

However, the April 1967, speech powerfully condemned U.S. militarism and the war in Indochina. His speech, “Beyond Vietnam.” King said, “of a society gone mad on war.”

Even after humiliating defeat in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria USA is willing to fight proxy wars on behalf of Bedouin Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Zionist Israel.

US administration has been justifying the assassination of GQS because he meddled in affairs outside Iran’s borders and conducted warfare against US soldiers. This is completely false, misleading, and unjustifiable.

The State department and Zionist have labeled him as evil because GQS created an arc of the axis of resistance from Palestine to Yemen.

These charges ignore that in 1953 CIA had orchestrated a coup d’état of Iran’s elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh in favor of monarchical rule of Shah and genocide committed by SAVAK, secret police.

The indelible legacy of GQS will always be a source of inspiration for the oppressed around the globe and Palestinians who fight for their liberation and Statehood.

GQS believed in the elimination of terrorist groups such as ISIS and liberation of territories occupied by Zionist.

The GQS did not kill any Americans, he helped Americans to liberate Falluja and Mosul and destroy ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

USA and CIA continue to destabilize the government of Iran, Lebanon Syria, Cuba, Venezuela, and other governments around the world.

When America is immersed in exceptionalism, wasteful military spending, and we fail to see the irony: The United States occupies other nations, conducts forever wars, sabotages elections, and maintains more than 800 permanent military bases outside its borders.

Plus, Pentagon has Special Operations Forces in more than 100 nations — but never sees itself as a meddling in other countries affair.

On July 3rd, 1988, US fired surface-to-air missile from USS Vincennes killing all 290 Iranian passenger on flight 655 from Tehran to Dubai. Is this not terrorism?

Dr. King’s critique militarism and exceptionalism, require us to ponder and investigate why the United States occupies countries around the world, interferes in other countries affairs, and we wonder why nations around the world hate us?

The answer is the leak 92 pages of 1992 Defense Policy Guidance (DPG) draft written by Paul Wolfowitz on behalf of Defense Secretary Dick Cheney. https://www.archives.gov/files/declassification/iscap/pdf/2008-003-docs1-12.pdf

After the collapse of the Soviet Union the Neocon-Zionist-Christian rights wanted to dominate the world and their goals were clearly stated in the document DPG.

The strategic points of the documents were that Pentagon and CIA should prevent any emergence of a rival superpower.

Safeguard U.S. interests, promote American values, and United States must be prepared to take unilateral action.

This meant that US should not be constrained by international laws or United Nation and should aggressively seek regime change if any nation tries to acquire nuclear weapons.

What is now clear is the Bush era neo-cons and the Think-Tanks of Washington who orchestrated the Afghan and Iraq used 9/11 as a pretext to implement their preplanned agenda as stated in DPG.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld urged his proxies following 9/11. “Make the American people realize they are surrounded in the world by violent Islamic extremists.” This was the message 24/7 for 365 days.

The media like fox news, neo cons, right wing Islamophobia and new McCarthyites had a field day after 9/11.

“And say not of those slain in Allah’s cause, ‘They are dead’: nay they are alive, but you perceive it not” (2:154).

Well before GQS’s assassination, Iran’s supreme leader, Syed Ali Khamenei, referred to Soleimani as “a living martyr of the revolution.” GQS was a humble servant. https://sfbayview.com/2021/01/remembering-a-humble-giant-qassem-soleimani/

According to MarketWatch, back in March 2019, with no inkling of his martyrdom to come, Khamenei “expressed hope that he would die as one.”
