Representative Joe Gibbons receives ‘Legislator of the Year’ Award from Broward County Council of Professional Firefighters

PEMBROKE PARK, FL– State Representative Joseph “Joe” Gibbons (D-Hallandale) is honored to have received the “Legislator of the Year” award from the Broward County Council of Professional Firefighters.
The award recognizes Representative Gibbons’ continuous support to the association as well as to fire services in Broward County. The “Legislator of the Year” award will be presented at the 26th Annual Firefighters Political Awards Dinner, which will be held tonight at the B Ocean resort hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
“It is truly an honor to receive this award.” said Rep. Gibbons. “The service and tireless sacrifices that are given by the local firefighters to the residents of Broward County, as well as the indispensable service that all first responder workers provide for our state, is remarkable. I look forward to working with Florida firefighters on the causes important to them that come before the House of Representatives.”
The Broward County Council of Professional Firefighters represents over 2,500 municipal and county firefighters. Combined, they embody fire-fighters of Broward County Local 4321, Davie Local 2315, Fort Lauderdale Local 765, Hollywood Local 1375, Metro Broward Local 3080, Miramar Local 2820, Pembroke Pines Local 2292 and Pompano Beach Local 1549.
