          The family and friends of Demauri Rashad Davis are beaming with pride for his recent  graduation from Alabama A & M University, Huntsville, marking the university’s 147th fall commencement.  Demauri graduated December 9, 2022, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s in biology from the university.  This month (January), he starts a master’s program in nursing at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.  His goal is to specialize in veterans or pediatric care.

    A high school graduate, former soccer and basketball player from the 2019 class at Fort Lauderdale High School, he has always wanted a career in medicine. Demauri is a faithful member of Mt. Zion AME Church of Oakland Park under the leadership of Pastor George A. Hardy and is a participant in the Sons of Allen Ministries.  Congratulations Demauri Rasad Davis and may 2023 fulfill your dreams and ambitions.  In December 2023, we will once again watch you walk across the stage; however, this time to receive your master’s degree in nursing.  Congratulations!
