TALLAHASSEE, FL — Recently, Mayor Andrew Gillum released the following statement regarding the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh:  “Today is a dark day for the Senate and a tough day for our country. The women who have come forward in the last few weeks, the people who have been making phone calls, making their voices heard in the halls of the Capitol and across the country – I hear you and I stand with you. Judge Kavanaugh will be a critical vote on the most divisive and contentious issues of our time and as Florida’s governor, I will use my platform and do everything in my power to protect Floridians’ access to healthcare and protect women’s rights and freedoms. I am disappointed, but we cannot give up and I will continue to fight for each and every Floridian,” said Mayor Andrew Gillum.
