The Seventh Annual Exit 36 Slam Poetry Festival is set to captivate audiences with a dynamic blend of poetry, writing workshops and artists talks. This three-day extravaganza, scheduled for December 12-14, 2024, will showcase the extraordinary talents of 30 poets from across the nation who will be competing for cash prizes. The festival will immerse attendees in a world of creativity and expression, offering a diverse range of events occurring at Pompano Beach’s cultural venues, culminating with the exciting Final Stage slam

        Pompano Beach Arts invites the community to witness the blossoming of artistic expression at the dedication ceremony for the captivating new sculpture, “Galactic Bloom,” on November 21st, 2024. Created by the renowned Tyler FuQua Creatives, this monumental piece, crafted from gleaming stainless steel, will be unveiled at N. Flagler Ave. and NE 1st St. next to the Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) at 5 PM, forever enriching the city’s cultural landscape.

        Get ready to be transported into the chilling world of Edgar Allan Poe as Pompano Beach Arts presents The House of Poe’s Horrors. This immersive haunted house experience will bring the author’s dark and twisted tales to life, offering guests a thrilling adventure filled with jump scares, surprises, and unforgettable memories. The Pompano Beach Cultural Center will be transformed into a mesmerizing maze of themed zones each inspired by a classic Poe story. From the eerie “Oval Portrait” to the terrifying “Pit and the Pendulum,” guests will encounter a variety of chilling scenes and encounters. The experience will run October 24-26, from 6-9pm. Each 30-minute experience is limited to 40 people at a time, tickets are $13 per person at www.pompanobeacharts.org.

       Old Town Untapped is back with a bountiful season filled with electrifying music, phenomenal art experiences, and so much more. The vibrant ‘first Fridays’ Street festival returns with live music by Mix Tape, one of South Florida’s premier 80s rock & pop cover band, and a stunning exhibition by our October Artist of the Month, Florencia Clement de Grandprey from our new Artist in Residence(AiR) class at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center.  Join us for this free event, which also features wonderful vendors and an eclectic mix of food trucks, on Friday, October 4th, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Pompano Beach Arts is excited to announce the new Artists in Residence (AiR) class at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA).  This dynamic initiative offers a unique opportunity for creative exploration, collaboration, and growth within South Florida’s vibrant arts community. Each season, new artists are selected through a competitive process. This year’s class features artists with an expansive array of creative techniques and influences. During this semester, the artists will be showcased through dedicated exhibitions and major events including Jazz Fest Pompano Beach 2025, while also interacting with the community through art workshops

  It’s time for the grand finale of the 2023-2024 Old Town Untapped season in Pompano Beach! Join us for a festive evening of rock, reggae, and surfing tunes by Pompano Beach’s up-and coming trio The Barefoot Mailmen, who are making their OTU debut. Explore the last exhibition of this semester’s Artists in Residence at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center.  And enjoy local art vendors, DJ music, and an array of culinary delights from the area’s bests food trucks.   Pompano Beach Arts is excited to present a glorious new exhibition of the work of Andy Beauchamp at Ali Cultural Center. The public is invited to step into a world where art transcends the ordinary and music sets us free. Surreal Harmonies: When Art Defies Boundaries is a visual symphony wherein the artist explores the extraordinary within the everyday. Using trompe- l’oeil techniques and incorporating abstract images of instruments into his work, Beauchamp blends the universal language of music with the vivid strokes of paintings

Jazz Fest Pompano Beach is bringing a tidal wave of talent to South Florida. To accommodate the festival’s growing audience, Friday and Saturday night’s concerts will be staged directly on the City’s beautiful beach.  Grammy® Award-winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis leads a stellar lineup of internationally renowned artists including Ms. Lisa Fischer & Grand Baton, David Sanchez, and Najee who will be headlining the festival, which runs January 18-20, 2024.
