Don’t get twisted about the title of this opinion column. Gantt Report readers know that I am fond of Fulton County Georgia State Attorney Fani Willis.

Every election year political pretenders prowl around Black communities. They show up at your churches, they show up at your schools, and they attempt to attend your social and community organizations to solicit your votes.

Landlords routinely ignore judgments ordered by judges in municipal and other courts that hear landlord-tenant issues. They criminally neglect to maintain and repair heating and cooling systems, stoves, refrigerators, leaky windows, garbage disposals, and more.

Monetary ignorance will continue to be the Black man’s burden until we listen to, or read about, ways to generate money for all Blacks in all countries.

The 2024 United States election campaigns for federal, state, and local races have already begun. There will be Black candidates running for office but most Black Americans will continue to run for their political lives!

It’s no secret the twice-impeached President, who is facing nearly 100 criminal charges in various courts in multiple states, is seeking to stay out of prison by lying to voters, parroting dictators and authoritarians and hoping to generate votes to win the 2024 Presidential Election. If victorious, Trump will continue to follow orders from foreign assets and political leaders to divide Americans and destroy democracy.

Also, believing in the honesty of political hypocrites and false political prophets will certainly be dangerous to Black American progress and achievements.
