About two weeks ago, I watched the movie The Hate U Give with the Pearls of Arts and the Zeta Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc.. The movie was about a young  African American girl, who witnessed the death of her best friend while he was shot and killed by a white police officer, even though he was unarmed.

The movie is the journey she goes through after her friend is killed, and how she copes with it.

Throughout the story, she had to let go of some friends, because they were not respecting the incident when her friend was killed.

At the end of the movie, it showed how so many people came together to support the boy who was killed, and how they worked as a community to gain justice for him. I really enjoyed this movie because it had an excellent message, which is that Black unarmed men are killed very often by police, and they are not getting the justice they deserve.

I also enjoyed seeing the actors in this film,  teen actors that I see in other shows.

In conclusion, I think this movie was really pleasant and had a great message.  I would suggest this movie to anyone who enjoys a good drama and a great message.
