The importance of relics and the responsibility of preserving history outweigh guarding gold mines.
Caught up in the speed of life, we often overlook the significance of our actions, the stories we tell and the secrets kept until decades pass, leaving us bewildered by time’s passage.
Bathing in the lives of others for 53 years leaves us wounded, yet alive and transparent, pondering life’s mysteries.
The Westside Gazette, like other endeavors, emerged from a necessity to serve and advance a community, acknowledging the support received and the path laid by predecessors. As we carry on the legacy of the Black Press with love and dedication, we confront challenges and strive to bridge gaps, echoing the commitment of our forerunners.
The joy and pain of serving as a good servant and keeper of record are inseparable, yet our commitment remains unwavering.
As we celebrate our history, let’s reflect on our contributions and support our publication for the quality of our being.
