On Saturday, April 12, Our Front Porch Roll Call was dedicated in the honor of our past Rock Island Homeowners Association President James “JR Williams for his tireless efforts in making a difference in our community.
This meaningful program was established by the Fort Lauderdale Police to enhance communication & interactions within our community. The Homeowner Association are invited to host these events during the Police Roll Call shifts: 6 a.m., 2 p.m. or 9 p.m. Food/refreshments are provided, and your neighbors have an opportunity to host a Meet &Greet in your Community.

We had the pleasure of fellowshipping with District 3 City Commissioner Pamela Beasley-Pittman, her Administrative Aide Jamel Walker. She acknowledged her admiration of our efforts recognizing the importance of our City’s finest police Department.
Rock Island exceeded all expectations, demonstrating their appreciation displayed today. She thanked Present President Maud King and her Board & residents for their hard work.
In the spotlight was the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Bill Schultz and he recalled his interactions with our Former President JR. He uplifted us to continue to be diligent working with them to better our community. He was all smiles at the warm hospitality that awaited him and his Officers. He introduced our commanding Sargent Esther Cineas along with the 20 plus men and women of the department’s finest officers. They each took their time to introduce themselves and share their backgrounds.
Everyone showed up with much enthusiasm, good conversations, and hearty appetites.
The HOA and Rock Island community demonstrated love and thanked all for taking the time out of their busy schedules to join us for such an occasion.
Juliet Gray -Willams coordinated this event and stated, “Teamwork makes the dreamwork.”
