A Virginia judge has ordered a 10 day halt to Governor Ralph Northam’s plan to remove a statue of Robert E. Lee statue on Richmond’s historic Monument Avenue. Northam announced on June 4 that the monument would come down, after days of heated protests rocked the city. Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy during the Civil War, and is often at the epicenter of heated national debates about the war’s losing side.

It’s About Time
Wearing a mask must start from the top, it is simple and easy to do. Our President should lead by example. It is a simple strategy that will help contain the virus, and Americans will see it as something important. Everyone can start with their family by explaining to the members why it is important when they are in the public to wear a mask.
America is purging the public domain of racist symbols and rhetoric. Augusta, Georgia must do its part by removing racist symbols and ostracizing public personalities who foment racial division.
The time has long passed to heal Americas’ illegal practice of Institutionalized Racism. There should only be but One America to serve all of the citizens of the United States of America.
If you criticize the few low life looters and arsonist who blend in with peaceful protesters but do not criticize the rogue cops who beat, maim, and kill protesters you are a hypocrite. TRUMP and his law-and-order posse are hypocrites. In a way, so are the honest protesters who put their lives on the line, during a pandemic, by not taking the next most important step, registering and voting.
