MIAMI, FL – Recently, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-24) announced that the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) is accepting applications for the 2022 United Health Foundation, Louis Stokes Health Scholarship Program, Ally Financial Law Scholars Program and Public Policy Scholars Program Scholarships, Stephen Feinberg Scholars Program and Multi-Year Program Scholarships, CBC Spouses Education Scholarships, CBC Spouses Essay Contest Scholarship, CBC Performing and Visual Arts Scholarships, and CBCF HBCU Scholarship. All qualified and motivated Black students who intend to pursue a degree within these fields are highly encouraged to apply.

“As a lifelong educator and staunch advocate for education, I know first-hand how important it is to provide students every chance available to tear down systemic barriers to higher education opportunities,” said Congresswoman Wilson. “I highly encourage all qualified students in district 24 who are seeking financial assistance to continue their education to apply.”

The scholarships are open to all African American or Black students who are U.S. Citizens or legal permanent residents. Applicants must be currently enrolled in the upcoming academic year as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited academic institution. To qualify, students must possess a current minimum 2.5 or 3.0 GPA, exhibit leadership ability, and participate in community services activities among other requirements.

For more information on scholarships qualifications, requirements, and how to apply, visit the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation website. The application deadline is April 30, 2022.
