Five people were killed in a shooting at a condominium in a Toronto suburb on Sunday night. Officers responded to an active shooting call at the building in Vaughan, a city just north of Toronto, around 7:20 p.m. A surviving victim who was shot was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The male gunman was shot by an officer during a confrontation and died. The shooter’s identity has not been released by police. Nicolle stated at an earlier press conference that the victims appeared to be from more than one condominium unit. The motive for the shooting spree has not been revealed, and police have not revealed what led up to the killings. Authorities believe the community is no longer in danger.
