The Hollywood Florida Rotary Club held its annual auction from May 8-10. During the event, the public was invited to bid on new merchandise and gift certificates. Many Rotary club members (Rotarians) including Judge Ian Richards worked to ensure that the event was a resounding success. The club raised and donated more than three million dollars, which provided scholarships to outstanding high school students and benefitted local programs for children in the community. Judge Richards was honored to assist with this event and enjoys serving the residents of Broward County. Richards is one of only six African American judges in Broward and community involvement means a lot to him. On May 23, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Judge Richards will be continuing his fundraising efforts at Midtown Art Gallery on historic Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
