SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER DR. DOROTHY BEND-ROSS-MINDINGALL SPONSORS COMMUNITY FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENT — School Board Member Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, District 2, partnered with Farm Share, State Senator Dwight Bullard, State Representative Cynthia Stafford and Commissioner Keon Hardemon for a free food distribution event, with the intention of helping to sustain the less fortunate from the Overtown community and surrounding areas. The event took place on, June 6, 2014 at the Ninth Street Pedestrian Mall, located on Northwest Second Avenue and Northwest Ninth Street. Due to this great collaborative effort, 708 families (2,385 household members) were served.
