    By Staff Writer

Levoyd Williams has been a city commissioner for a small city during good and bad times. He was never afraid to advance the tough decisions to solve serious budget problems upon his return to the commission. “Sometimes we have had to learn how to do with less,” he told the Sun Sentinel Editorial Board, which has recently cleared the Board’s endorsement.

As a city elected official Williams believed that his city should get a return on their investment at the state and federal levels and he says that is the reason for him going to Tallahassee and Washington to advocate on behalf of his city and to testify at committee meetings in Tallahassee.

Williams is retired from a long career as an executive for a telecommunications company and a decorated veteran who served in Vietnam.

Engaging people one-on-one is Williams’ style and this is evident as he attends homeowners association meetings and works within his community.

Williams says that he will continue to advocate for jobs that will sustain families, supports health care and the expansion of Medicaid and quality education as his priorities when he is elected to Florida House of Representatives-District 94.

District 94 includes parts of Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Oakland Park, Plantation and Wilton Manors.

“I will, if elected, engage constituents on issues to educate them at every level,” stated Williams.

Levoyd Williams has received SUN SENTINEL ENDORSEMENT in addition to Broward Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics, Broward County Medical  Association and Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors.
