Middle school students from Dillard High School six-12 were applauded by a standing room only audience as they received awards for Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and Proud Panther special character awards at the school’s Student Success Awards Night on Dec. 9, 2015. The program is part of Dillard’s My Future Is Now Project, or MFIN. MFIN provides trainings for the teachers and staff, career development lessons by business and community volunteers, and coordination for events like this one, all designed to help students develop their vision for the future, and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for successful adulthood. The evening also featured performances by the middle and high school Step Team, a chorus singing Christmas songs, and a presentation about the meaning of success by Student Government Association Vice President Mellissa Wiah.
