       The league and players’ union said in a joint statement Saturday that while the Dolphins followed protocol after the injury, the outcome of the Tagovailoa case “was not what was intended when the Protocol was drafted.” As a result, language addressing abnormality of balance/stability was added to the league’s protocol list of symptoms that would keep a player from returning to the game.

     Michael A. Coleman shared these disturbing statistics. He is the president of Roots and Wings, a non-profit organization that teaches Black and Brown children how to read. He is also the 1st. Vice President of the Palm Beach County Democratic Black Caucus. He shares these statistics because he sees education as crucial in bridging the gap for people of color.

The partnership, enabled by 8B’s use of what officials called innovative credit enhancement to guarantee losses incurred by Nelnet for the loan program’s duration, marks the first lending program by a United States-based bank to African students enrolled in American schools.

   LaShonda has pulled together a mix of voters that has a pathway to victory. But there seems to be a conservative media blackout of this campaign, much like the last two hundred years of failing to report the real Jacksonville history.

     A national bus tour made its first stop in Minneapolis to encourage the Black community to vote, one month away from midterm elections.

     While Biden’s executive action will benefit thousands of people by making it easier for them to find housing, get a job or apply to college, it does nothing to help the hundreds of thousands of mostly Black and Hispanic Americans still burdened by state convictions for marijuana-related offenses, not to mention the millions more with other drug offenses on their records.

Program Fosters Creativity

     We’ve all heard about the disparity of quality of care in our healthcare system in certain marginalized groups. Some ways these disparities manifest is through provider discrimination, lack of adequate health insurance, high costs, and/or limited access to quality care. Numerous statistics prove this issue is valid. For example, according to the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, high blood pressure is 56% more common in Black adults than white adults, with a direct correlation to the limited amount of dietary advice and monitoring available for that demographic.

     For 20 years, I have not touched or smoked weed or herb, because I felt I did not need it. As a young man in high school I tried it, but I preferred drinking beer. Once I got in college, I enjoyed marijuana tremendously. I went to Howard University, and it was during 1969 to 1973, and women took birth control pills, and they wore no bras.

     As you scan this title, I want you to immediately focus on Sally Hemings a helpless Black stave girl. At the age of just fourteen, she became the property of former president Thomas Jefferson. Sally penned down and repeatedly raped by Jefferson whenever  he wanted survived. Saily impregnated, gave birth to six children. No one came to her aid because she was mere property.
