Mayo is a small North Florida town that sits in the crook of the panhandle. Around 1,500 people call the community home.  And for all its diversity, charm, and easy living, tourists are few and so are candidates for statewide office.  But, Congresswoman Val Demings, who is running for the US Senate showed up for a visit. The former Orlando police chief toured the community with her friend Lafayette County Sheriff Brian N. Lamb, a popular Republican.

   What I’m saying is, when DeSantis isn’t using his power to attempt the redistricting of his state’s congressional map for literally no other reason besides diluting Black voting power, he’s pretending systemic racism doesn’t exist and raining down fire and brimstone on all things involving race or gender in the classroom. He’s one of the most tenacious condemners of CRT despite him not having a clue what it is.

Cause and Effect: Citizen Complacency = Fatal Consequences

     The struggle of systemic racism in 2022 has intensified, and many Americans refuse to discuss the threat to voting rights, civil rights, and human rights. As millions of Americans spend hours glued to their television and cell phones watching the January 6th hearing, we almost lost our democracy, because of racism, discrimination, and criminality. There are 5 Proud Boys and 10 Oath Keepers who have been charged with seditious conspiracy.
