Superintendent Robert W. Runcie and School Board members spent the first day of the new school year visiting several schools, greeting students, parents, teachers and staff.

Superintendent Runcie began his day at the North Area Transportation Bus Terminal in Pompano Beach, where he boarded a school bus to Coral Glades High School. He also visited Westchester Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Western High, Pembroke Lakes Elementary, Hollywood Hills Elementary, Sheridan Technical High and Parkway Middle Schools, before wrapping up his day at the Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center.

“It’s been a busy and exciting start to the new school year,” said Superintendent Runcie.  “I truly enjoyed visiting our schools and welcoming students, parents, teachers and staff. It is always inspiring to see the excitement among students as they meet their new teachers and settle into their classrooms ready for another successful school year.”
