Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with Delta Education and Life Development Foundation, Inc. Announces its 44th Annual “In Pursuit of Excellence” May Week Program

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — The Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. (BCAC-DST), in partnership with Delta Education and Life Development Foundation Inc. (DELDF), will host its 44th Annual May Week Program.  May Week is a national program initiative designed to spotlight the scholastic achievement of high school students and emphasize the importance of higher education in our community.  This year’s program will be held on May 1, 2022.  Due to the continuation of the pandemic, the program will be held virtually via Zoom. On Sunday, the May Week Scholarship Program entitled “In Pursuit of Excellence” will be held at 3pm. With the phenomenal community support of our fundraising efforts this year and very generous scholarship donations, BCAC-DST, together with DELDF, are very proud to award $75,000.00 in scholarships to deserving students to pursue their secondary education.  Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and Delta Education and Life Development Foundation Incorporated, have served this community for decades with a mission of enriching the lives of Broward County youth through impactful program initiatives and scholarships.  “Even in the midst of the pandemic, we have had to pivot and become more innovative in an effort to reach our financial and programmatic goals,” stated Deetra Durham, Chair, DELDF.

On May 7, 2022, the May Week College Fair will take place 12 to 2:30 p.m. The College Fair will include a Financial Forum for college bound students. This day promises to be exciting and informative. The college fair is open to all high school students.
