     We ring the bell for freedom, democracy, and majority rule. We sound the clarion call for freedom fighters as we urge Floridians to reach out to Mr. Ben Frazier and the Northside Coalition and pledge support to a campaign to make Governor Ron DeSantis accountable. We also ask lovers of freedom to call the offices of Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott and demand they vote for the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. These three public servants, who have become “three blind mice” to equality for all, must be made accountable now.

     Whatever you put into an effort, that is what the results produce. This analogy could be applied to several situations of today. Starting from the rained soaked, soggy political atmosphere of Broward County, to the hot air speech from President Joe Biden in Georgia  and the Corona fog that seems to not only limit visions but shuts down the cognizance of supposed to be intelligent people.

     The ancient idea of “Cleanliness is next to godliness” is found in Babylonian and Hebrew literary work. The phrase was first recorded in a sermon by the Methodist pastor, John Wesley, in 1778. Being clean was supposed to be a sign of spiritual purity or goodness; we sure have gotten a long way from that.

A New Year’s Resolution that we all can gain from

     Merry Christmas to all and COVID can’t stop that.

     What makes every day mishaps seem so insurmountable during the holidays? It seems as if  the ‘asks’ from those who take your kindness for weakness are compounded by agitations of feeling that you are being taken for granted.

      I became acquainted with the Groveland Four after State Representative Bobby Dubose created ‘A Walk Through History’. Representative Dubose, after being inspired “by God one night” created an activity to share the Groveland Four story.

     All the political gymnastics and clandestine maneuvering that has gone on since April 6, 2021 reminds me of some of those Dwayne Wade and Steph Curry animations in NBA2K22, that turn solid team leaders into freaks of nature with unparalleled skills. It makes for interesting gaming, never good policy.      After having conversations with several of the candidates and listening to all of the candidates at one time or another it has led me to believe that some of them have forgotten that they were Black. You don’t need to guess, you don’t have to get angry at me you don’t need to do any of that, what you do have to do is to remember that you are Black. Being Black there are certain things that you must NOT do. Do I need to remind you of what you must NOT do-THAT IS NOT TO FORGET THAT YOU ARE BLACK.
