    Roderick (“Rod”) D. Vereen is the Chair of the Law Office of Rod Vereen & Associates. He specializes in State and Feral criminal law and has been a strong advocate for minority law students and  the community.

Today, along with others, I received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. The true honor was receiving the award with such outstanding honorees.

There is perhaps no better way to be a part of the exciting new arts season than literally ushering it in as a volunteer usher welcoming patrons and guiding them to their seats. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is holding orientations in September for volunteer opportunities at the Broward Center and its affiliated venues.

     One Howard University alum has reached an extraordinary life milestone — her 105th birthday. And her community is joining the exciting celebration.

In an attempt to follow up on the cancellation of the Dillard/Stranahan game, no one could verify whether any disciplinary action had been taken against students who caused the disruption as the principal was unavailable.
