The Authors Concluded that Black Infants Die Nearly Three Times the Rate of White babies.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the overall unemployment rate rose to 3.6% in February from 3.4% the prior month.

  “Some officers have videotaped themselves throwing drinks at pedestrians from their cars; insulted people with disabilities; and called Black people ‘monkeys,’ ‘animal,’ and ‘boy,’” the DOJ investigation revealed.

     A February 28 rally held on the steps of the Supreme Court of the United States is believed to be the largest-ever event supporting student loan cancellation. The four-hour event featured more than 30 speakers as diverse as they were dedicated. It coincided with the court’s scheduled oral arguments in a case brought by eight states that have challenged the legality of granting up to $20K in federal loan forgiveness for eligible borrowers.

Civil Rights Activist Essie Berry, the widow of the late Fred “ReRun” Berry from the 1970’s sitcom What’s Happening, is stepping into the ring with CVS Pharmacy. She has filed a complaint on behalf of Ms. Deborah Johnson, an employee of CVS Pharmacy previously known as Savon Drugs Store, who has been employed since 1995. The incident of retaliation and discrimination took place when Ms. Johnson  spoke out against the predator who committed sexual assault & harassment acts against her at the CVS Pharmacy located in Montclair, California.

     A major acquisition that civil rights leaders and advocates for Black-owned media had hoped would increase media ownership, opportunity, and participation by African Americans and other minorities has apparently “hit a brick wall.”

     The NAACP supports Maryland’s bid for the new FBI headquarters and wants President Biden to intervene in the process to help make that happen.

     During Women’s History Month, we celebrate the countless women who have fought tirelessly and courageously for equality, justice, and opportunity in our Nation.  We also reaffirm our commitment to advancing rights and opportunities for women and girls in the United States and around the world.  We are mindful that we are building on the legacy of both recognized trailblazers and unsung heroines who have guided the course of American history and continue to shape its future.

The DOJ said Trump’s incitement of the deadly insurrection fell outside the scope of his presidential powers and therefore disqualifies any immunity argument.
