From the very inception of hip hop, there was always something violent and destructive about this art form. No one likes to talk about drugs, sex, guns and crime, but somewhere underneath all the glitz and glamour, there was always violence and death.

Introduction of the oral birth control pill in 1950 ignited America’s sexual revolution. However, the full impact of the “pill” later occurred in the 1960’s. An overwhelming social and cultural revolution drastically changed individuals’ attitudes and morality towards sex. This liberalized attitude towards sex and morality also ushered in a breed of sexual ‘promiscuous predators and promiscuous partners.
Recently, a Florida State Senator’s proposed bill that would require bloggers that commented or opined about Florida’s Governor or State Legislators, should register with the Florida State Government, pay a registration fee, and reveal who is paying the blogger.
Many of these threats have been made on social media and in the news by extremists aligning with some of Florida’s best-funded environmental activist groups. At the center of their agenda are all policies that seek to dehumanize us, take away our jobs and ultimately, destroy our Glades communities.
Among the significant strides our country has made to create a more equitable society, air travel does not always come to mind. However, it was not long ago that air travel was only for the elite. Airfares were prohibitively expensive, and flying on commercial airlines was a privilege that almost exclusively upper-class, white Americans could enjoy.
Preserving Wildlife and a Way of Life
It’s happening in Jackson, Mississippi, where state officials have a plan to stand up a new city police force that they would manage. And it’s happening in St. Louis, Missouri, where an outstanding young Black mayor – Tishaura Jones – is facing police unions and state legislators who want to wrest control of the police department from her. A state bill in the works would remove the city police force from city control and – you guessed it – put it under the control of a whiter, more conservative state government.
BUILDING TRUST
President Biden continuously stands before the American people issuing solemn, yet hollow lamentations about saving the soul of our Nation. Despite 246 years of enslaving Black people, one hundred years of Jim Crow, and countless amendments to the U.S. Constitution, Black people continue to suffer discrimination and injustices.
The Black race in America should be more afraid than any other ethnic group. We are the ones getting shot by law enforcers, we’re the ones with the worst water systems, the most unaffordable housing, the grocery and pharmacy deserts, the poorest schools, and the highest health care costs.
