America’s voters aren’t naive nor stupid. However, an overwhelming number of white voters are racist to their core; thus, knowingly they’re loyal to the Republican Party that attempted to overthrow our government. The upcoming mid-term elections are about whether voters will cast their ballots for democratic candidates who embrace policies of “inclusivity. Or embrace Republican candidates who tout policies“ of exclusivity.” Their policies are meant to deny equal opportunities and resources to non-members of their base, especially immigrants and Black people.

We all know that Democracy is under attack; that democracy is a system of government that is based on the concept of government for the people and by the people, inclusive of all the people and not just a few seeking to control everyone else. Such a government is based upon the electoral process we have in this country. It was that same electoral process that put Donald Trump in office as President of the United States and it was that same process that voted him out and Joe Biden in as President.
Bringing History Back Home
As I write this, I’ve just gotten back from meeting with Black ministers who are working nonstop to get out the vote across the state. And with good reason, because there’s just no other way to say it — Georgia is ground zero for the future of our democracy in this midterm election.

The Republican Party, in a desperate attempt to capture the Georgia Senate’s seat, has decided to use an old inhuman” slave owner’s tactic of using Black men as studs and treating them as buffoons. They weren’t concerned about their IQ or diction. Rather, it was their virility and obedience. As you can see, they’ve chosen Hershel Walker, ex-pro-football player, as their perfect stud as well as buffoon to challenge democratic Senator Raphael Warnock.
According to Saudi Arabia, legal code women have virtually no rights whatsoever and can be executed by stoning for committing adultery. While in Iranian women can run for any political office.
What makes the U.S. exceptional is not that we are somehow immune to the erosion of democracy, he said. What makes us exceptional is the progress we have made together. We can take hope and strength from our own history, and the example of courageous people around the world.
Vote like life depends on it because it does. In less than a month, Americans will go to the polls to cast ballots in what will likely be one of the most consequential elections in our nation’s history. Every election has essential policy questions. But the 2022 midterms quite literally weigh the importance of life. Americans can weigh in on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade by voting for or against candidates who support or oppose abortion. Political strategists and pollsters say support or opposition to Roe versus Wade could be the deciding factor in elections where the races are close. I hope and pray that it is. I am praying for voters to support life candidates.
