The Supreme Courts overturning of Roe v. Wade after fifty years; thereby subjugating women’s reproductive rights as subordinate to states interest. Consequently, the Supreme Court’s ruling in one instance disregards language in the U.S. Constitution which states that inalienable rights, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness,” are endowed on every human being by his Creator and are often referred to as “natural rights.”
Take the latest exercise in lawlessness, dishonesty, and cruelty from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. He chartered a plane to send dozens of mostly Venezuelan asylum seekers from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, an island community off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. He clearly was gleeful about the idea of sticking it to liberals and gloating about it on right-wing media.

Research has found that 70 million people in the United States have criminal records. Of that number, 63 percent are no longer in jail, on probation, or on parole, yet roughly 27 percent of these ex-offenders remain unemployed due to their criminal records. This disproportionate statistic to the overall unemployment rate confirms the realization that the challenge of finding work for the formally incarcerated can be a daunting task.
America’s democracy and its foundational institutions of governance face a consequential dilemma. Unfortunately, this dilemma involves Trump’s personification of evil and his ability to corrupt others. The central tenet of this dilemma is whether Trump can corrupt the Republican Party and its base against their will, or can he only feed and elicit their inherent corruption? Or does he possess a silver-tongue? Thereby, as a silver-tongued serial corruptor, he’s able to convince others to blindly do his corruptible biddings.
After the Civil War ended in 1865, the 11 southern states had to abolish slavery to be readmitted to the Union. The Black Codes implemented a mendacious, fraudulent ploy by the South to secure their goal of maintaining White superiority. The Congressional Rights Foundation describes these reprobate acts from the South as duplicitous chicanery.
