Dolphins again came up short in their home rivalry game against Buffalo. Although their effort was better in this game, they still have some things to clean up before their next game. This game was a lot closer than last week, only losing by 3 points, 31 to 28. It began to rain in the first quarter which was symbolic of Buffalo raining on the Dolphins parade.
The Dolphins had their first test on Sunday, a road game against the rival Patriots. The Dolphins added some new additions this offseason to help strengthen their defense including rookie defensive lineman Raekwon Davis from Alabama, Emmanuel Ogbah from the Chiefs, Shaq Lawson from the Bills, Kyle Van Noy from the Patriots, and cornerback Byron Jones from the Cowboys. This newly assembled defense was put to the test yesterday against the run game of the Patriots; it showed flashes of good play, but it gave up some big yards also.

Saint Augustine’s University School of Business, Management, and Technology (SBMT) has announced the formation of the first HBCU cycling team in the country via the Department of Sport Management. This team is a club sport within the SBMT. The team has recently been approved and registered by USA Cycling to compete in the collegiate club Atlantic division against dozens of other schools in the Southeast.

In an expansion of its Rooney Rule, which had previously called on teams to interview minority candidates, the league said teams must also interview at least one minority candidate for coordinator openings and one external candidate for positions in teams’ front offices. “While we have seen positive strides in our coaching ranks over the years aided by the Rooney Rule, we recognize, after the last two seasons, that we can and must do more,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said during a media conference call.

Bryce Henry of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wins his fight in the second round of the Florida Golden Gloves Tournament this past Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, held in West Palm Beach, Fla. at the West Palm Beach Boxing Club. With the unanimous decision he now moves into the semifinals where he has a chance to compete for the National Golden Gloves Team. Finals are held in Fort Lauderdale at the Heavyweight Factory.
