    Chi Psi Omega Charitable Arm Receives Grant from Wells Fargo, Inc

    CHI--PSI-OMEGA2Chi Psi Omega Charitable Arm Receives Grant from Wells Fargo, Inc. — Chi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated charitable arm, A Plus Foundation, Incorporated received a $1,000 grant from Wells Fargo, Inc. The foundation is a 501(c) 3, public non-profit organization and was one of 650 recipients as Wells Fargo, Inc. gave a total of $650,000 nationwide for the betterment of its communities.  The grant is earmarked to facilitate chapter events for Initiative I: Emerging Young Leaders’ (EYL girls in Grades six-eight). This initiative is the 28th International President, Carolyn House-Stewart, signature program for 2010-2014. Veronica E. Phillips, president of Chi Psi Omega Chapter and Barbara J. Thomas, foundation treasurer of A Plus Foundation, Incorporated were in attendance to receive the award at the annual Wells Fargo breakfast held May 7, 2014 at the Deer Creek Country Club, Deerfield Beach, in honor of its community recipients. Christanie Abernathy, branch manager for Wells Fargo Tamarac Town Square, recognized the community events put on by the middle-school girls and facilitated the grant for the chapter.
