Congresswoman Frederica Wilson sponsors ACA Enrollment Fair in North Miami
Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (CD-24) hosted an ACA Enrollment Fair at the Teamsters Local 769 Union Hall in North Miami on March 22, to afford her constituents the opportunity to enroll into a private healthcare plan provided through the Affordable Care Act marketplace.
“More than five million people have already signed up for healthcare through the Affordable Care Act (ACA), proof that ACA works and proof of need for affordable health insurance for millions of individuals and families who for too long have been uninsured and under insured.
I urge South Floridians who need health insurance to take advantage of this unprecedented and historic opportunity to purchase affordable health insurance before the ACA open enrollment period closes on March 31.
“Access to affordable healthcare is a right, not a privilege,” said Congresswoman Wilson.
Congresswoman Wilson’s district office has been flooded with calls from people asking who to call and where to go to get health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) before the March 31, 2014 deadline.
In addition to sponsoring ACA events, Congresswoman Wilson has been working with community groups from the Miami-Dade ACA Alliance Coalition to collect heart-warming ACA success stories from her constituents in CD-24, which she reads to other members of Congress on the House floor on Capitol Hill.
Listed are facilities that the community can go to receive help in signing up Saturday, March 28 is the last Saturday to sign up, before ACA Enrollment closes on Monday, March 31, 2014.
