The Gantt Report
By Lucius Gantt
At the time of this writing, more than a few African nations have supported and followed the governing practices of Burkina Faso leader Ibrahim Traore.
Traore is encouraging all African nations to unite and to return the control of the Motherlandâs resources and minerals to the people of Africa.
TGR believes Africans born in and living in America can control Black community resources, talents, skills, economies, and politics too.
Can I prove it? Keep reading and comment or send me a message via theganttreporttruth.com and let me know.
The mature Blacks in America, the seniors and the elders, can remember the days when money flowed through Black communities.
Black exploiters and oppressors wonât tell you Tulsa, Oklahoma was not the only âBlack Wall Streetâ in the United States.
Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Rosewood (Fla), Birmingham, and other cities had thriving Black businesses serving our communities.
When so-called Negro leaders were persuaded to patronize and buy products and services from non-Blacks, Black businesses declined.
I have always said, âWe have to go back, to go forward!â
We need to grow our own food, create our own jobs, enjoy our Black entertainers, sports teams, movies and more.
Consider this, why canât every Black community have a community garden that grows and sells healthy foods and beverages? Our youth can be taught agriculture, grow foods, and sell foods in the communities. Our food will be fresh and will not have GMO and other harmful additives.
Back in the day, artists like Dinah Washington, James Brown, Sam Cooke made money on the âchittlinâ circuitâ before they began to get work in large venues.
Negro League baseball and basketball made money and drew large crowds in the past and I would love to see Black sports ,teams today.
The richest business people in Black communities of the past may have been the hustlers. The pimps, the pirates, the pick pockets, the panhandlers, and the false prophets.
We have been told to despise the business people but, trust me, they had roles in our successful past too.
The hustlers were the first to give away turkeys on Thanksgiving and Christmas, not the rappers and athletes. The hustlers also paid rent, medical bills, college tuitions and more for Black people in need.
Politically speaking, most Black Americans are clueless about politics. Most Black elected officials, politically speaking, think white ice is colder than Black ice!,
Many of our elected officials feel a need to love and support their political parties than to love and serve the Black voters that elected them.
When the American government gets attacked, transformed, and becomes politically ill, most Black elected officials will run to Party leaders and say, âBoss, we sick?â
My friend, Elgin Jones, asked me one day, âWhy canât our elected officials contract Black businesses and workers to do the jobs that they do?â
For example, why canât Black elected officials draft a bill to outsource and contract Black-owned businesses to wash, detail, and clean government vehicles? Big cities may have thousands and thousands of police cars, service trucks, vans, and other vehicles that should be washed and cleaned more often than not.
Contracts to wash vehicles in big cities may be million dollar contracts.
There are Black businesses that can do government travel bookings, there are Black realtors that can buy and sell government property.
You tell me. Why do we have so many Black elected officials and so few lucrative government contracts?
To control our communities we must communicate with each other.
I would love to share thoughts and ideas with the leaders you love.
