The Illustrious Most Worshipful Joshua David Scruggs, 330, Grand Master of The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Florida, Inc., recently conducted his Official Visitation to the lodges comprising the constituency of the Ninth Masonic District. Representation from lodges in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties were in attendance.

In his address to the lodges, Grand Master Scruggs delivered a stirring and challenging message. He exhorted the membership to be cognizant of three things; to constantly and consistently “let your light so shine before men”; to focus our effort and energy on helping our organization to “catch on fire again”; and lastly, to remember that where we go, what we do, and what we accomplish as an organization “is in our hands.” Scruggs used scripture references and short stories to illustrate and emphasize these three points.

Grand Lodge Officers and Masonic dignitaries in attendance included: RW Charlie Jackson, 330, Grand Junior Warden; MW C. Brian Hart, 330, Past Grand Master; Bro. Leonard Brown, 330, Grand Worthy Patron of the Royal Grand Chapter-Order of the Eastern Star, State of Florida; RW Mark S. Jordan, Sr. 330, Special Asst. to the Grand Master; and RW Bobby R. Henry, Sr. 330, Grand Publicist.

The District Deputy Grand Master’s for District Nine are: RW Phillip Hardemon, 320, RW Pirty Jackson, 330 and RW Raymond Higgins, 330. Our Masonic Jurisdiction is praying for God’s traveling grace and mercy as Grand Master Scruggs embarks upon his Annual Official Visits to all of the lodges and districts throughout the State of Florida.
