Hallandale Magnet High School is celebrating a major win – a $50,000 STEM Classroom Makeover Grant from Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). The school is one of just 20 across the state selected for this year’s expanded program, which is part of FPL’s $1 million investment to enhance STEM learning during its centennial year.
Two schools in Broward County are the newest recipients of Florida Power & Light Company’s (FPL) $50,000 STEM Classroom Makeover Grant. Twenty schools across Florida have been selected for grants for the 2024-25 school year.
Hallandale Magnet High School, one of the winning schools, the Broward Education Foundation, Broward County Public Schools and FPL employees. In commemoration of FPL’s centennial, the company is super-sizing the program this year, expanding from five STEM Classroom Makeover Grants to 20 grants across the state – quadrupling the program and devoting $1 million to benefit local students.
