The Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the Links, Incorporated ‘s Healthy Homestead series( a Southern Area Initiative) is available to be viewed on the chapter’s website www.fortlauderdalelinks.org. The series consist of Healthy Homestead I which covered Black Land Loss, How we lost it, How to keep it and How to get more of it. It dealt with Wills, Trusts and Real Estate Issues such as Fraudulent land claims, Heirs Property , No will, and other problems. (Original Air date was 2/19/2022).
Healthy Homestead II dealt with Home Ownership, Investment and Retirement. This segment talked about mortgages and ways to own your own home, Investment tips and opportunities as well as how to prepare for retirement. (Original Air date 9/17/2022)
Healthy Homestead III was all about Social Security, Life Insurance, Medicaid/Medicare and Physical Soundness.(original Air date 1/7/2023)

The Series was co-sponsored by the Westside Gazette, the Gwen Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association, New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Mount Herman AME Church, HSBC and AARP of South Florida.
