Political analyst Joy-Ann Reid will soon make her debut as a television host on (MSNBC), it was announced on Monday.

In a statement released by (MSNBC) President Phil Griffin, it has been confirmed that Reid will anchor the 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, beginning on Feb. 24.

Griffin also detailed the launch date of Ronan Farrow’s new show, which will air at 1 p.m. on weekdays starting on the same date. Farrow, the son of actress Mia Farrow, has been in the news regarding his ad-dition to the (MSNBC) daytime roster for several weeks.
“Ronan and Joy are two of the most thoughtful and impressive journalists out there and I’m excited for what they will bring to the early afternoons,” Griffin said. In addition, News Nation with Tamron Hall will move to 11 a.m., and Andrea Mitchell Reports will move to noon.

“Tamron has established herself as one of the best news anchors in the business. It strengthens us to have her hosting during our morning news block,” Griffin elaborated. “Andrea Mitchell is so critical to (MSNBC) and I’ve always thought her show should be at noon. Andrea brings on the biggest newsmakers of the day and the new time slot will help showcase her work.”

Reid is a television, print and radio news veteran, who has worked in the industry since 1998. She has served as the managing editor of theGrio.com and an MSNBC contributor since 2011. Reid is also currently a political columnist for the Miami Herald, and the editor of the political blog The Reid Report.
