The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) has officially opened applications for the sixth cycle of its Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI) Fellowship Program.
The museum invites artists, researchers, and photographers with ties to the Caribbean and its diaspora to apply for one of three self-directed fellowships: the CCI Artist Fellowship, the CCI Research Fellowship, and the CCI + Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA) Fellowship.
These fellowships will run from September through December 2025. The application deadline is June 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.(EST).
“We’re thrilled to launch the sixth iteration of the CCI Fellowship Program,” said Franklin Sirmans, director of PAMM. “Our goal has always been to act as a connector and supporter in the Caribbean region, helping artists and scholars grow and share their work. We’re proud to offer this opportunity in alignment with our mission to highlight the diverse voices of the Caribbean and its diaspora.”
The CCI Fellowship Program supports cultural practitioners whose work contributes to the understanding and development of Caribbean art. Each fellowship encourages research and creative projects that challenge conventional narratives, explore new perspectives, and reflect the evolving state of Caribbean art and culture.
“We are committed to nurturing the voices of Caribbean artists and scholars, ” said Iberia
Pérez Gonzalez, the Andrew W. Mellon Caribbean Cultural Institute Curatorial Associate at PAMM.
“The CCI Fellowships provide a platform for them to shape and expand the landscape of contemporary art.”
