Online Film Events Offer Eclectic

Pompano Beach Arts, in partnership with Black Cat Media, is proud to announce a new season of  Montage. The virtual film series returns with another outstanding selection of compelling stories created by emerging filmmakers. Join industry professionals and film lovers from around the globe who tune in to watch a film together and then participate in an insightful conversation. Montage airs the last Thursday of each month in February through September 2023. This series is thoughtfully curated and hosted by filmmaker and director Cathleen Dean of Black Cat Media. Follow the story of Elijah Manley, an activist, and one of the youngest candidates to ever run for the Florida State Legislature. Along the way, we will meet other young activists and organizers who are striving to make a difference within our country, starting within their own community.

Three poets perform their own powerful spoken word pieces: “The Breaths of Our Skin” by Christell Roach, “History Shouldn’t Be a Mystery” by Gary Allen and “A Letter to My Daughter” by Sophia Liautaud.

Boy With Angel Wings|directed by Franzy Moreau

In returning home for the holidays to the only family he has left, Enoch Rose, must face resurfaced trauma. His reluctant behavior propels him into getting robbed of a significant family heirloom and while attempting to recover it he’s forced into dealing with a deep wound from the past.
