REPRESENTATIVE HAZELLE ROGERS EARNS HONORS – Rep. Hazelle Rogers (D-Lauderhill) was honored by the Florida League of Cities with a Legislative Appreciation Award on Oct. 17, 2013 at Broward League of Cities general meeting at the Carolina Club in Margate, Fla. She was recognized for her tireless efforts to protect the home rule powers of Florida’s cities during the 2013 legislative session. Rep. Rogers voted in support of League positions offered amendments to help prevent preemptions and unfunded mandates, and worked behind the scenes to rally sup-ports for League positions.
