The City of Dania Beach invites you to join us at the SE 5th Avenue Decorative Crosswalk Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 6 p.m. at SE 5th Avenue & SE 11th Terrace.

The city is very proud to present yet another artsy project around the city. This beautiful   decorative motif project combines public safety with beautification and compliments the existing butterfly garden adjacent to the project.

    The Pedestrian Safety Project:

    – Provides safe pedestrian crossing of SE 5 Avenue by SE 11th Terrace

    – Popular crosswalk for students attending Olsen Middle School, residents and seniors from Meadowbrook accessing shops on Sheridan Street and the Linear Park. The project augments the proactive efforts regarding safety for both the youth and seniors.

    – A decorative paver crosswalk with a butterfly motif

    – LED flashing pedestrian crossing sign and in-ground LED crosswalk lights

The city submitted Walmart an application for Art in Public Places and Landscape Beautification grant. The city was awarded a $3,000 Walmart Community Grant and chose the SE 5th Avenue Crosswalk Project.

DANIA BEACH – SEA IT. LIVE IT. LOVE IT.
