SCOTUS Creates America’s 21st Century Frankenstein

“SCOTUS’ sordid legacy of giving comfort and life to injustices, need only  bestow immunity to create  America’s 21st Frankenstein.”   John Johnson II, 03/06/24

    By John Johnson II

During the 18th century Mary Shelly, a romantic novelist, authored a fictional novel entitled Frankenstein.  Lord Byron inspired her to write a gothic tale. Mary’s mind focused on a tale about a doctor driven to conquering death. He worked feverishly  using dead peoples’ body parts to create a grotesque monster resembling himself; thus, created Frankenstein.  Since America’s 21st sexual predator, monster, already existed, SCOTUS merely resurrected his political life as “Trump(ken stein).”

SCOTUS unanimously decided to resuscitate Trump’s political life. Does this not metaphorically resemble Frankenstein’s horrific creation? They did this despite knowing he overtly and covertly supported the January 6th insurrection. Just as Frankenstein’s actions led to deaths and destruction, so did Trump’s attempts to overthrow the government.

Unbelievably, SCOTUS had the audacity to even refer to Trump as an oath breaking insurrectionists. Further, their written   concurrence opinions were shortsighted.  They revealed SCOTUS rendered this decision partially in fear that had they not, society would’ve erupted into a pit of riotous hell.  Is our democracy to exist in fear and unprotected from domestic terrorists?

Instead of using the extremely powerful and clear language in the 14th amendment, Section 3, they chose to toss this political grenade to Congress. It was a cowardly attempt to give additional aid to Trump’s political life and to strengthen his aura of invincibility.

However, it’s even clearer that a Supreme Court packed with slave owners or staunch conservative justices are more likely to render decisions favoring the President who nominated them or the existing white supremacists’ racial views.

Remember, at the beginning of the Civil War in 1861, four of the six supreme Court Justices were slave owners. Its Chief Justice Roger Tany also was once a slave owner. Shamefully, America’s Republican Congresspersons and MAGA constituents, as descendants of slave owners, still embrace their white supremacy ideology.

Consequently, it’s obvious that this packed slave owning Court would’ve voted to preserved slavery. Now 153 years later, a Supreme Court packed with six conservative justices, including the Chief Justice, has rendered a disputable decision. They’ve allowed a convicted sexual predator, procurer of prostitutes, and a person guilty of fraud to seek the presidency.

At this very moment, all. Americans should consider admitting to directly being responsible for our divided government, corrupt criminal justice system, broken immigration policy and a Supreme Court lacking ethics, courage and integrity.

Admittedly, Congresspersons don’t elect themselves. If it’s we the people, can’t we the people fire them?  SCOTUS March 4, 2024, decision regarding Trump v. Anderson shredded the symbolic view of the U.S. Constitution as a living sacred document. Still, failure to protect our democracy, government, and presidency from the cynical grasps of Trump, who’s as evil as Frankenstein, isn’t an option.

Regrettably, former president Trump, though labeled as an oath breaking insurrectionists, is above the law. Unless he’s judged otherwise by Congress, so said SCOTUS.

    YOU BE THE JUDGE!
