    Stepping into the Future: Sistrunk Committee Awards Scholarships to 21 Student Leaders

    Moderator Janice Hayes proudly recognized the students who received the Sistrunk scholarships during this weekend’s scholarship event as they held up their scholarship awards for a commemorative photo.

    Saturday, August 1st, 2026,  the Sistrunk Scholarship Committee hosted “Stepping into your Future”, an event that honored outstanding students for their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to excellence. The program awarded scholarships to several deserving recipients to help them continue their education and achieve their goals.

     

    Scholarship Winners: The following students were recognized as this year’s scholarship recipients during the Sistrunk Scholarship organization’s ceremony. Listed below are the scholarship winners, the colleges or universities they will attend, and the high schools from which they graduated.

    The committee, joined by community parents from across Broward County, proudly recognized and celebrated 21 scholars of today and tomorrow during a special scholarship presentation at the Hazelle P. Rogers Multipurpose Center.
