Making the top 10 list of news stories on Jamaicans.com is a great honor and recognition of the noteworthy impact Taste the Islands is making. Currently, Jamaicans.com is the most popular Jamaican diaspora-focused website in the world.

Blondie Ras Productions’ Caribbean cooking TV show Taste the Islands became the first Jamaican-produced and Jamaican-hosted program to be aired nationally on public television in the United States. Taste the Islands can currently be seen at various times on national lifestyle channel Create TV as well as independent PBS stations throughout the country.

Show creator and Executive Producer Calibe Thompson said, “It’s an honor to know that our work is making a lasting impression on our mass market audience as well as the Jamaican community here. Blondie Ras Productions, along with Hugh “Chef Irie” Sinclair, Associate Producer Lukkee Chong and our whole team, intends to continue generating quality Caribbean-focused programming to share our culture with the wider community.”

In the upcoming second season of Taste the Islands, Chef Irie is joined by new cast mates Haitian Cynthia “Chef Thia” Verna and co-host Jamaican-Cuban Lisa Lee Arneaud. Season 2 will premiere nationwide on Create TV and PBS stations in the second quarter of 2016.
