    The City of Pembroke Pines Police Department honored elementary school students from Pembroke Pines

          PEMBROKE PINES, FL — The City of Pembroke Pines Police Department October “Student of the Month” -recognized Pembroke Pines Elementary School students at Pembroke Pines Police Department Headquarters.

    Students of the month are nominated by their teachers based on criteria set forth by the Pembroke Pines Police Department including exemplary behavior, good citizen-ship, and being a good role model to others.

    Following Pembroke Pines Sergeant James Henry’s welcome, Police Chief Dan Giustino commended the students on their fine behavior and actions toward one another. Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank C. Ortis and Commissioners Iris Siple and Jay Schwartz complimented the students, thanking them for serving as an inspiration to their classmates.

    Student honorees took the Walk of Honor and shook hands with Crime Dog McGruff, Police Chief Dan Giustino, Captain Chris Stasio, Assistant Chief Neil Vaughan, Sgt. Jim Henry Mayor Frank Ortis and Com-missioners Iris Siple and Jay Schwartz.

    Pembroke Pines Police Department Student of the Month October honorees represent the following Pembroke Pines Elementary Schools: American Master Academy/Ariana Pereira; Atlantic Montessori Charter/Brianna Garcia; Chapel Trail Elementary/Grace Laudicina; Franklin Academy/Gabriel Garcia; Kidz Choice Charter/Penelope Perez; Lakeside Elementary/Tyrrell Morris; Montessori Academy of Broward/Sophia DaSilva; Palm Cove Elementary/Aliandra Anderson; Panther Run Elementary/Joshua Baez; Pasadena Lakes Elementary/Carlos Perez; Pembroke Lakes Elementary/Brayden Allison; Pembroke Pines Charter Central – Claire White; Pembroke Pines Charter East/Faith Banossian; Pembroke Pines Charter FSU/Massimo Castro; Pembroke Pines Charter West/Christy Francois; Pembroke Pines Elementary/Azaria Hamm; Pines Lakes Elementary/Krystine Escalante; Silver Palm Elementary/Dominick Mondesir and Somerset Academy/Nathaniel Wong-Sang.

    Students were presented a certificate and a goodie bag with items donated by the following Pembroke Pines businesses: BB’s Italian Ice and Ice Cream Delites, Chick-Fil-A, Costco Wholesale, Char-Hut, Spring Cleaners, Rosie’s Gourmet Italian Ices, Menchie’s, Pem-broke Pines Smash Burgers and Memorial Healthcare System.
