    Frankly Speaking

    By W. Frank Wilson

In a world in which we often see man’s inhumanity to man, poor customer service and self absorbed behavior, three recent happenings in my has restored my faith in people.

Returning from a business trip to Chicago I mistakenly left my cigar lighter in my take on luggage and it was confiscated by TSA. It is an Omega lighter given to me by a frat brother.

A Delta agent I encountered was wearing an AKA pin and so I knew she would understand my desire to retrieve that lighter. I explained to her “What Had Happened” and took my number and said she would see what could be done.

Before I left she called to say lighter had been located and that she would get it and send it to me and she did.

This past Weekend while in Cincinnati I  left my phone in an Uber car but within 45 minutes Tasha the Uber driver returned my phone and of course I tipped her because I don’t have to tell you what relief I felt considering how much I rely on this piece of equipment Finally, two brothers who I communicate with frequently on the Omega prayer call had agreed we would finally meet in person, but, I miss them at our in person prayer meeting and returned to my Airbnb across the River in Kentucky.

They called and when I told them I had left the convention center they said text us your address we will  come where you are because seeing you and meeting you in person is that important. After about thirty five minutes I saw them pull up, Brothers Ben Beatty and Kevin Scott fulfilled the agreement we made months ago

There are indeed some good people left among us.
