“South Dade is currently a thriving and burgeoning community that has benefited from the wise investment of those who have understood its potential and growth. Despite its promise, the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners has repeatedly failed to properly provide effective and efficient transit options to the region’s South corridor. Our next District 8 representative must not only be a person who innately and comprehensively understands this and other issues affecting the South Dade community, it must be someone who possesses the heart and soul of a public servant and who can hit the ground running on day one. Over the past year, through her commitment, tenacity, and passion for learning the issues and building bridges with other leaders countywide, Danielle Cohen Higgins has proven to be the right person to represent the residents of District 8 moving forward.
