We are the SHB Gloves Up Guns Down program, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and we are facing a critical challenge that threatens our mission to empower the youth through boxing.
The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a devastating toll on our organization. We lost our previous gym to the economic hardships brought on by the pandemic. Despite our relentless search, we have struggled to find an affordable space to continue our work in the wake of skyrocketing real estate costs. However, we refused to let this setback define our future.
We are thrilled to inform you that we have found a new home and have signed a lease. But here is where we need your generous assistance. Moving forward, we are in dire need of financial support to furnish our new facility with the essential equipment and infrastructure that will allow us to thrive once again. Specifically, we require funding for a boxing ring, flooring, stands, and essential training equipment.
Our program, SHB Gloves Up Guns Down, is not just a boxing gym; it is a place of refuge for the young people of our community.
