Elegant, decadent, fresh and organic are just a few words to describe the first and hopefully not the last Wilton Manors Food and Wine Festival.

This first festival drew 600 people to a mix of glorious culinary delight. The range was diner to elegant gastronomy of pure pleasure.

Desserts covered the palates of even the discerning foodie. With accompanying wine pairings, things kept getting better.

Would you like an espresso tea or coffee? Yes that was represented and properly done. Entertainment performed by four diverse vocalist added the right mood as the evening progressed.

All this was set in the newly open Eucalyptus Gardens. Open for three months the gardens has organic products brought to the garden from local farms and purveyors. The owners Judith Ozer and Diana Allen said that the garden is just the beginning with additions that will include wine and cheese, an organic cafe and sweet shop with pastry chef Tricia Rose.

Karen Grey gave us all a charming setting ambiance that will make you mark the calendar in anticipation for next year.

Great food. Good wine. Fun memories.
